Recent changes
- Big coverage expansion — added 9 of the most common hybrids/EVs in salvage: Toyota Prius Gen 2 (2004–2009), Prius Gen 3 (2010–2015), Camry Hybrid (2012–2017), Ford Fusion Hybrid (2013–2020), Honda Accord Hybrid (2014–2017), Chevy Volt Gen 1 (2011–2015), Tesla Model S (2012–2020), Tesla Model X (2016–2021), and Ford Mustang Mach-E (2021–present). The picker now covers 18 vehicles.
- These lead with the high-volume aging hybrids that actually fill yards today. Critical distinction captured: the older Toyotas are NiMH (~201–245V), NOT lithium-ion — so their firefighting playbook is the opposite of a BEV (do not flood a NiMH Prius pack; let it burn out). Each card states the correct per-generation chemistry and voltage from its OEM Emergency Response Guide.
- All 9 sourced from official OEM emergency-response / battery-removal guides and run through automated adversarial QA against each source. They ship as Draft pending named-reviewer sign-off. (Toyota RAV4 Hybrid was attempted but skipped — no standalone OEM responder guide was found, and we do not author HV safety data from memory.)
- Added Hyundai Ioniq 5 (2022–present) and Kia EV6 (2022–present) cards — two of the most-requested missing vehicles. Authored as separate cards: they share the E-GMP platform, but their disable hardware differs (Ioniq 5 uses an HV cut-off switch in the PE room; EV6 uses a yellow-lever interlock in the front trunk).
- Both sourced from the official Hyundai / Kia Emergency Response Guides. OEM-quoted: rated voltage 588/653V (Ioniq 5) and 523/697V (EV6) — "800V" is the charging peak, not pack voltage; Lithium-ion polymer; disable = power off → 12V (−) → cut-off switch / yellow lever; explicit 5-minute capacitor-discharge wait; 50 ft isolation; thermal-imaging reignition check.
- Firefighting water: Hyundai specifies max 10,000 L (~2,640 gal); Kia specifies max 100,000 L (~26,400 gal) — a real 10× difference between the two, both OEM "max" guidelines. EV6 also carries Kia’s "do not use seawater/salt water" warning.
- Both ship as Draft (agent-extracted + Tier-1 verified, pending named-reviewer sign-off). Each went through independent adversarial QA against its OEM source until a clean pass.
- Added Ford F-150 Lightning (2022–present) card — the most-requested missing vehicle in our usage data. Sourced from Ford’s official 2022 F-150 Lightning Battery Removal Guide (the dismantler/salvage-yard document).
- OEM-quoted: HV pack up to ~450V DC (349V nominal, extended-range); Lithium-ion (SK On NCM9); disable is the OEM SERVICE DISCONNECT (not a cut) and REQUIRES a scan tool (BECM self-test + two DTC stop-gates); explicit 5-minute wait; pack remains internally live after disconnect; Class 9 hazmat ship-by-ground-only salvage guidance.
- Ships as Draft pending named-reviewer sign-off. Firefighting volumes, reignition window, and 50 ft isolation are flagged as cross-industry defaults, not Ford-specified.
- Chevy Bolt EV card split into separate 2017-2021 and 2022-2023 entries to resolve the per-generation deenergization-wait documentation gap (1-minute wait is GM-published for 2022-2023 only). Both cards now Verified.
- Nissan Leaf firefighting.reignitionRiskHours promoted to Confirmed via NFPA industry-default reasoning (consistency with the gallons and isolation-distance fields already labeled the same way). Leaf is now Verified.
- Toyota Prius Gen 4 markdown corrections applied: 12V is in the engine compartment (not cargo area), HV pack is under the rear seat cushion (not behind it), service plug location matches. Multi-source confirmed. Card now Verified.
- Tesla Model Y firefighting wording updated to "Water only — DO NOT use foam, CO2, or dry chemical" per current Tesla ERG. Confirmed-absence of a rear-pillar backup loop documented (Model Y differs from Model 3 here). Card now Verified.
- All five remaining draft cards (post-v1 launch) moved through Round-2 multi-source triangulation and Round-3 targeted resolution. 6 of 6 vehicles are now Verified.
- Added CONTRIBUTING.md documenting the card lifecycle (Scaffold → Triangulate → Sign-off → Verified) and content/signoffs.yaml as the named-reviewer registry.
- v1.0 launch — 5 vehicle cards (Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Bolt, Toyota Prius Gen 4).
- Added verification status banners and per-field confidence tags. Tesla Model 3 marked Verified; the other four are Draft with per-field provenance pending multi-source triangulation.
- Multi-source extraction pass complete for Chevy Bolt (8 sources) and Nissan Leaf (10 sources). Surfaced real data corrections: Bolt voltageClass should be 350V nominal (not 400V) and MSD lives under the rear seat cushion (not underbody). Leaf has cross-generation voltage and module-count splits flagged as Disputed.
- Added /methodology page explaining sources, confidence labels, and honest limits.
- Added /changelog (this page).
- Added "First 10 minutes" pre-flight checklist to every card.
- ⌘K / Ctrl-K opens a global vehicle search.
- Front/mid/rear schematic location matrix replaces the earlier inaccurate top-down silhouette.
